Aston Villa are pressing ahead with a move for Said Benrahma.

According to L’Equipe, Brentford winger Said Benrahma wants to join Aston Villa in a swift move after Dean Smith launched a £14million move.
Benrahma, 23, left Nice to join Brentford last summer, working under Dean Smith at Griffin Park as he emerged as one of the Championship’s top wide men.
The Algerian hit 10 goals and 14 assists in his first Championship season, and he has been linked with a move away from West London for weeks now.
It’s now claimed that Benrahma has decided that he wants to join free-spending Villa, but he wants it done quickly in order to avoid the situation dragging on.
The report adds that Smith has offered €16million (£14million) for Benrahma to try and engineer a reunion, and it’s unclear whether the Bees will hold out for more cash amid Benrahma’s desire to go.
Villa brought in one ex-Brentford winger in Jota earlier this summer and also made Anwar El Ghazi’s move permanent, but Benrahma can provide that extra bit of magic.

He has ability to play on either flank whilst possessing a decent turn of pace, but it’s his dribbling and creativity have made him into the star he is today.
Adding a big-money addition like Benrahma would provide additional spark in the final third, but with The Sun claiming that Trezeguet is set to join Villa, adding another winger may still be a surprise.
