Arsenal have been linked with Galatasaray’s Sacha Boey in recent months.

In March, Turkish outlet Aksam claimed the 22-year-old is the Gunners’ top summer target.

A few weeks later, Tuttomercatoweb reported that no club is as interested in Boey as Arsenal.

The Italian outlet claimed that ‘half of Europe’ wants the Frenchman’s signature.

AC Milan have been named as one of Boey’s suitors alongside Arsenal.

Now, it looks as though the Gunners have received a further boost in their apparent pursuit of the player.

Aksam has now reported that Boey wants to leave Gala and would prefer a move to Arsenal over Milan.

The Superlig giants are apparently open to letting him leave, but for no less than £13million.

‘Impeccable’

In terms of first-team right-backs, Arsenal currently have Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

The latter was first-choice last season, while White has made the spot his own since converting from centre-back.

However, Tomiyasu’s injury has left Mikel Arteta short in that position.

This is something he may look to address in the summer ahead of next season.

And Boey seems to tick a lot of boxes for Arsenal.

He’s young, very talented, has a high ceiling, and seems to be available for a bargain fee.

Target Scouting wrote earlier this year that the 22-year-old “is a player with the potential to go anywhere”.

They also said Boey’s “competitive attitude is impeccable” and deemed him a “very interesting player”.

Arsenal don’t necessarily need a first-choice right-back to join.

They can get an exciting prospect who can learn from the likes of White and Tomiyasu, and grow into the role.

Boey seems to fit the bill in this case. He may not be an immediate starter, but he’ll work hard to get to that position.
