Ryan Sessegnon could reportedly snub Tottenham Hotspur to join Borussia Dortmund when his contract expires next summer.

Ryan Sessegnon of Fulham celebrates during the Premier League match between Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion at Craven Cottage on January 29, 2019 in London, United Kingdom.

According to a report from The Sun, Ryan Sessegnon may choose to snub Tottenham this summer and join Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer at the end of next season.

With Fulham relegated, Sessegnon’s future has become a talking point once again after an impressive first campaign in the Premier League. Spurs are keen to offer him the chance to stay in England’s top flight, but it appears that he may have other ideas.

The Sun reports that Dortmund have their eye on signing Sessegnon on a pre-contract deal in January 2020 – when he could cost the Bundesliga giants just £500,000 – and thus, he may decide to stay with Fulham for one more season.

The report adds that Dortmund deem the 18-year-old to have a similar level of potential as Jadon Sancho, who has been an outstanding signing for the German side.

Of course, a lot can change over the coming months and Sessegnon could decide that he wishes to stay in England and have another crack at the Premier League, whether that be with Spurs or by helping the Cottagers bounce back from relegation.

But should he remain on Fulham’s books beyond this summer, Dortmund would have an advantage over any English sides interested in signing the youngster as they would be able to discuss that pre-contract deal when the next window opens.
