Rangers are reportedly set to bring Ryan Kent back to Ibrox.
According to The Herald, Rangers are set to complete the signing of Liverpool winger Ryan Kent after he agreed a four-year deal and passed a medical.
The Gers came up short in a 2-0 defeat to Celtic on Sunday afternoon, and it was clear that Rangers were lacking a bit of magic in the final third.
Many Rangers fans will have felt that Steven Gerrard was really missing wide man Kent given his impact in the last three Old Firm derbies – and the Gers look set to respond.
It’s believed that Kent is now on the verge of a huge £7million move back to Ibrox, having agreed a four-year contract and passed a medical with the club today.
Kent impressed on loan at Rangers last season, notching six goals and nine assists before heading back to Liverpool and featuring regularly in their pre-season games.
However, Liverpool haven’t given Kent a first-team role so far this season, and with the 22-year-old keen to head back to Rangers, it seems he’s got his wish.
This is a huge outlay for Rangers and a real sign that they feel Kent is the missing piece in the puzzle as they attempt to chase down Celtic.
Rangers have until midnight to get the deal fully completed, but it sounds like they’ll have this one announced with hours to spare, with Rangers fans no doubt excited to see him make his return to Ibrox.
