According to The Sun, Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser is set to snub a short-term extension with the club amid links to Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
With the season suspended for three months, the end of the Premier League season has been delayed. There have been many logistical issues, with contracts one of them.
Players out of contract this year see their deals end on June 30th. The Premier League season will now stretch beyond that date, meaning players are being asked to sign short-term extensions to see out the campaign.
Bournemouth have been fighting to keep Fraser on a short-term deal, but it’s claimed that he is now likely to reject that offer and sign for somebody else from July 1st.
Registration rules mean he wouldn’t be able to play until next season, but the clubs interested in Fraser may now be gearing up to move quickly for him.
Tottenham Hotspur are keen, with The Mirror noting that Fraser fancies a move to Spurs. However, the Daily Mail added that Arsenal are confident they will win the race for the 26-year-old.

Fraser starred in the 2018-19 season, hitting seven goals and 14 assists. Sadly, he couldn’t recapture that form this season, bagging just one goal and four assists.
Still, it seems that big clubs are in the mix for Fraser. His availability as a free agent is particularly appealing given the financial impact of the global pandemic, and a ream scramble could now ensue.
