Ryan Christie is reportedly set to tie up his Celtic future this week, apparently leaving a number of clubs disappointed.

Christie has been a revelation for Brendan Rodgers’ side in recent weeks. For a long time, it appeared that the youngster was destined to leave the club without properly making the grade with the Hoops.
Heading into this season, he had made just 10 Scottish Premiership appearances for the Bhoys since arriving in 2015. But his situation has changed dramatically in recent weeks.
The 23-year-old has scored three goals in his last four games and is arguably one of the most in-form players within Rodgers’ squad – which is certainly saying something given how remarkable Celtic’s form has been of late.

His form has come as so much of a surprise that Christie’s deal is currently still set to expire at the end of the season. But that is apparently about to change in the coming days.
At the start of the season, Christie extending his Celtic contract would have probably been met with little fanfare amongst the Hoops fans. But it says a lot about how far he has come in such a short period that it now has to be considered a massive statement from the champions.
