Ross McCormack is available to leave Aston Villa this month, and has reportedly fallen out with Steve Bruce.
According to the Daily Mail’s live transfer feed (23rd January 2017; 14:05), Ross McCormack has been ordered in on a day off for the Aston Villa first-team and will train with the club’s under-23s.
The Mail reports that the Scotsman’s relationship with Villans boss Steve Bruce has deteriorated drastically recently with the striker missing more than one training session.
Aston Villa’s Ross McCormack
Despite not having many attacking options available for last weekend’s clash with Preston North End, Bruce decided against picking McCormack in the matchday squad due to his poor discipline when it comes to training (via Independent).
According to Mail’s live transfer feed, that has prompted the manager to order McCormack in on what would have normally been a day off for the former Fulham and Leeds man so he can train with the club’s youngsters.
Showing an improved attitude in training may not be enough to salvage McCormack’s Villa career however, as the Mail suggests that he is available to move on this month.
Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce
Though the forward has established himself as one of the Championship’s most ruthless goalscorers over the years, it would not be a surprise if Villa struggle to get him off their books based on the claims that Bruce has made about his attitude, as well as the fact that he currently earns £45,000 a week at Villa Park (via Mail).
And with McCormack scoring just three times since his summer switch from Craven Cottage, he is hardly enjoying the purple patch of form that would see a queue of clubs form in the battle for his signature.
