Salomon Rondon is preparing to delay a decision on his future in order to give Newcastle a chance.

According to The Chronicle, West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon is prepared to delay a decision his future in order to give Newcastle United a shot at signing him.
Rondon, 29, suffered relegation with West Bromwich Albion in 2018, and decided to return to the Premier League immediately with Newcastle.
The Venezuelan centre forward joined the Magpies on a season-long loan deal, and became a fan favourite on Tyneside with 11 goals and seven assists.
Newcastle fans and boss Rafael Benitez are desperate for Rondon to join permanently, but any move would depend on Benitez committing his future to the club and convincing the club to pay up for a player approaching 30.
Now, The Chronicle report that Rondon is preparing to delay a decision on his future in order to give Newcastle a shot at signing him, once Benitez’s future is resolved.
It’s claimed that West Ham United and Wolves have held talks to sign Rondon, but they’re not as far down the line as previously reported elsewhere.

That means Newcastle still have a major chance of bringing Rondon back to St James’ Park this summer, with the striker preferring a move back to Tyneside over anything else.
Wolves can offer European football though, and West Ham are managed by Rondon’s former Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini, meaning they both have plenty to offer the striker – and Newcastle need to get a move on if they intend to sign Rondon permanently.
