Ronald Koeman was fired by Everton earlier this week.

Everton sacked Ronald Koeman this week after a poor run of results, but he could quickly land on his feet.
Holland failed to qualify for the recent World Cup, with Danny Blind sacked as boss midway through qualifying and stop-gap replacement Dick Advocaat failing to turn it around.

Koeman has been a long term target for Holland dating back to his time as Southampton boss.
Even last year shortly after being appointed by Everton, Koeman admitted to Goal: “Coaching Netherlands remains one of my ambitions.”

The circumstances are not ideal for Koeman or Holland, but it is hard to see him turning down the opportunity if it is offered to him.
The chance to go straight back into management while taking a break from the weekly schedule of club football may be the perfect opportunity for him to recharge and restore his reputation.
Former Everton boss Roberto Martinez went a similar route, taking over as Belgium boss after his Goodison Park sacking.
