Liverpool will welcome Roma to Anfield for the first-leg of their Champions League semi-final clash next Tuesday night.

According to Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, Roma have suffered a potentially huge blow ahead of their Champions League clash with Liverpool next week, with the news that Kostas Manolas is a major doubt for the game, after he suffered an injury during the Rome derby against Lazio yesterday.
The Greece international was the hero of Roma’s Champions League quarter-final clash with Barcelona last week, scoring his side’s third goal – one that eventually proved to be decisive in the tie.

Manolas joined the Italian giants from Olympiacos in the summer of 2014, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £10.3m, and he has since gone on to establish himself as one of the continent’s finest centre-backs.

Roma’s chances of progressing through to the final of the Champions League have potentially been dealt a huge blow, with Calcio Mercato reporting that the 26-year-old is a major doubt for the semi-final first leg at Anfield next Tuesday.
Liverpool have arguably the most devastating front-line in Europe, so Roma fans will be desperate for their star centre-back to make next week’s clash against the Reds.
