According to Calciomercato, Roma are considering Leeds United chief Victor Orta for the role of sporting director as they look to shake things up in the Italian capital.
Roma are turning over a new leaf under new owner Dan Friedkin.
The Serie A giants are making key backroom changes, with James Pallotta departing the club along with Franco Baldini and Gianluca Petrachi who took charge of signings.

Roma seek a new sporting director, and Victor Orta seemingly tops their wish-list.
The Leeds chief has been instrumental during the Whites’ promotion to the Premier League.
Orta helped the club appoint manager Marcelo Bielsa. Moreover, the Spaniard oversaw several key additions such as Patrick Bamford, Illan Meslier and Ben White.
Orta worked with one of the very best in Sevilla’s Monchi. He also had jobs at Zenit and Middlesbrough, helping the latter to promotion working alongside Aitor Karanka.
Roma know they would be getting a key figure with a history of success.
But Leeds will be desperate to hold onto Orta while the Spaniard’s job at Elland Road is just getting underway as the club plot for their Premier League campaign.
Leeds will need to make important additions this summer if they hope to preserve their Premier League status and build for a successful future in the top-flight.
A new striker seemingly tops the Yorkshire club’s wish-list.
A report from AS last week claimed Leeds were keen on Espanyol’s Raul de Tomas, while the Mirror add that Stuttgart’s Nicolas Gonzalez is another potential option.
