Arsenal's Mathieu Debuchy warms up

According to the Daily Star, Roma and Galatasaray are interested in a move for Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy.

The full-back finds himself far down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium after the development of Hector Bellerin.

The Frenchman has made just two Premier League appearances in the last two seasons as the Spaniard has continued to impress.

Indeed, Debuchy spent the second half of last season on loan at Bordeaux as he searched for regular first-team football.

His prospects in London are unlikely to improve moving forward, especially with Carl Jenkinson also pushing for a place.

And according to the Daily Star, both Roma and Galatasaray are both interested in a move for the French full-back.

Arsenal's Mathieu Debuchy after sustaining an injury

According to the newspaper, both clubs are eyeing a move for him in the January transfer window.

He is likely to be allowed to leave, too, given that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has plenty of options in the position.

Much is likely to rest on injuries, though. A long-term knock to either Bellerin or Jenkinson could change Wenger’s willingness to allow the 31-year-old to depart.
