Jay Rodriguez earns too much at West Brom for Burnley to be able to match it.

A return to Burnley for Jay Rodriguez this summer looks unlikely with the Express & Star reporting they are not willing to match the £65,000-a-week wages he currently earns at West Bromwich Albion.
The Clarets look set to raid the Hawthorns at the end of the season, with Craig Dawson and Matt Phillips also on their radar, as they prepare for the Europa League next term.

Sean Dyche’s men will qualify for the European competition if they retain their current seventh place position, with them eight points ahead of Everton in eighth with three matches left to play.
A return to Turf Moor for Rodriguez would probably go down well with the supporters, who chanted the forward’s name recently when they team triumphed 2-1 away to the Baggies.

The 28-year-old came through the ranks at the Lancashire club, progressing into the first team in 2007 and spending five years there before leaving for Southampton.
To date Rodriguez has scored 41 goals in 128 games for Burnley and while West Brom have struggled this season, the attacker has done well and is their top scorer with 11 strikes in 39 appearances.
