Leicester City are interested in signing Ademola Lookman this summer, according to The Sunday Mirror (11/04, p61).

It’s claimed that Fulham simply can’t sign their loanee permanently if they suffer relegation, with the money certainly beyond them.

Still, parent club RB Leipzig don’t see Lookman as being part of their future, and are looking to sell him at the end of the season.

Lookman wants to stay in the Premier League, and Leicester are thought to be one of a number of clubs looking to swoop in.

The 23-year-old wide man has shown signs of his quality and potential at Fulham this season, bagging four goals and four assists in 28 Premier League games.

One of Lookman’s best games actually came against Leicester back in November, scoring a goal in a fine 2-1 win for the Cottagers.

Brendan Rodgers may have been impressed then, and it’s notable that Rodgers tried to bring Lookman to Celtic in January 2018, but missed out to RB Leipzig.

Rodgers seems to have retained his admiration of Lookman since his Celtic days, and whilst he didn’t have much luck at Parkhead, he will now be hoping for better at Leicester.
