According to the Daily Mail, Leicester City are now plotting a move to sign Celtic playmaker Ryan Christie.
Brendan Rodgers is always being linked with raiding Celtic for some of his former players, such as Kristoffer Ajer, Callum McGregor and Odsonne Edouard.
It’s stated that a deal for Edouard has now collapsed, but Rodgers is turning his attention towards Christie.
Leicester’s interest in Christie
It’s stated that Christie’s contract expires in January and he is yet to commit to a new deal, meaning Celtic may need to sell this summer.
Nice made an £8million move in January and could return, whilst Monaco are also interested, meaning Leicester face major competition.
Rodgers – who branded Christie ‘outstanding’ in 2018 – is allegedly ready to try a move for Christie, which would be much, much cheaper than any deal for Edouard.
Christie’s versatility will be appealing, but you would imagine that he will be a number 10 to offer competition for James Maddison – a player Christie has actually been compared to in recent times.

How did Christie perform for Celtic last season?
The 26-year-old racked up seven goals and 15 assists for Celtic last season, in 46 games across all competitions.
Fans were often left frustrated by Christie’s decisions to shoot from all ranges and angles, but the Scot clearly does have great quality.
A move to the Premier League could be the next step forward for Christie, who seemingly doesn’t want to extend his stay at Celtic – and if he doesn’t want to be there, new boss Ange Postecoglou would probably rather just move him on.
