According to The Mirror, Leicester City could launch a summer bid for Brentford striker Ivan Toney.
It’s claimed that the Foxes are focusing on adding more cover for Jamie Vardy this summer given that Kelechi Iheanacho hasn’t quite fulfilled his potential.
Toney is now on the radar having smashed 24 goals and nine assists in just 30 games for Brentford since joining from Peterborough United over the summer.
Formerly of Newcastle United, Toney has become a star in the EFL, and it looks like he will be playing in the Premier League one way or another next season.
The Bees tend to rake in big money for key players, such as Said Benrahma, Neal Maupay and Ollie Watkins in recent times, and Toney will be the same.
Such a move from Brendan Rodgers’ side would be a huge disappointment for Celtic, given that they were in talks to sign Toney last summer according to The Sun.

The Bhoys couldn’t finalise a deal for Toney in the end, signing Albian Ajeit instead as Brentford swooped in to sign Toney.
Less than a year on and Rodgers could give Toney a big move to Leicester this summer, leaving Celtic to rue missing out.
