Rangers goalkeeper Robby McCrorie will leave Ibrox on loan in the January transfer window for the rest of the season, according to The Daily Record.

Good decision

The 20-year-old goalkeeper is not going to get much playing time for Rangers this campaign, and it does make sense for the youngster to play for another club on loan.

With Allan McGregor and Wes Foderingham ahead of him in the pecking order, the Scottish youngster is going to find it hard to displace either of them.

A loan spell at another club in the Scottish Premiership or in the Scottish Championship is certainly going to help the youngster in terms of his development and progress.

Title challenge

Meanwhile, Rangers are aiming to win the Scottish Premiership title this season and are giving bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic a run for their money.

Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club are second in the league table at the moment with 42 points from 21 matches, level on points with leaders Celtic, who have played 20 games.
