Juventus will reportedly launch a loan offer in the coming days to sign FC Barcelona attacker Memphis Depay, with Arsenal also chasing the Netherlands international who is set for a transfer this summer.

According to Sky Italia, the Serie A side’s interest in Depay has significantly increased in the past few days, with Juventus now ready to make a loan bid to sign the forward, who Xavi Hernandez is eager to offload in the final weeks of the window as Barcelona look to recoup some money from the transfer market.

As per the report, Depay is one of numerous players Barcelona are trying to get off their wage bill, and although the La Liga giants would prefer a permanent departure for the rumoured Arsenal target, they will likely accept a loan offer for the Dutch superstar from Juventus.

The Italian club are keen to sign a forward this summer after failing to convince Atletico Madrid to lower their asking price for Alvaro Morata, another player who is reportedly on Arsenal’s radar, and Juventus have now seemingly turned their attention to Depay, who could be an incredible signing for the Bianconeri.

Labelled as a ‘fearsome’ attacker, Depay has grown a lot since his failed stint at Manchester United, with Barcelona landing the £17m-rated attacker for free last summer. However, given the Catalan giants’ incredibly reckless spending in the past few weeks, Xavi is already looking at selling the 28-year-old.

Indeed, Arsenal might be linked with Depay, but Juventus could be a perfect next step for the Holland attacker, who would be well-suited to Italian football as well as a top signing for Massimiliano Allegri, who could do with some more firepower upfront alongside Dusan Vlahovic.

With Juventus last week terminating Aaron Ramsey’s contract, the Italian club’s signings in recent years haven’t been great, to say the least, yet recruiting Depay, even on loan, could be an incredible coup for the Turin-based giants given how much quality the Arsenal target possesses.

Positionally versatile and a productive forward in the past few seasons, Depay could be ideal for what Juventus want in a new forward for the upcoming campaign, and Barcelona’s desperation to offload the forward could make a deal very easy for the Serie A titans, much to the dismay of Arsenal.
