Tottenham have suffered a blow in their attempts to sign Ligue 1 talent Mohamed-Ali Cho, with Leicester City now in talks to sign the teenage attacker.
According to Foot Mercato, the Foxes held discussions with Angers over the weekend for the 18-year-old forward, who has emerged as one of the most exciting talents in France this season.
As per the report, Leicester have been fans of Cho for some time, with the Premier League side even thinking about sending an offer before the end of the transfer window, which could be a hammer blow to Tottenham.
As reported by Sky Sports News, Spurs are keen on the teenage attacker, with the club even being offered the chance to sign Cho for €20m (£17m) this month. However, it appears that this opportunity has since passed.
A versatile forward who has exploded onto the scene this season, Cho has already drawn comparisons to PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe, with many predicting big things for the French youngster in the future.
Indeed, the attacker is wanted by some of Europe’s biggest clubs. But Leicester’s interest in the forward and their temptation to bid for Cho could put the Foxes in the driving seat for the youngster ahead of the likes of Tottenham.

Whilst it has been a poor season for the Foxes, there’s no denying that there is an allure to playing for Leicester given their domestic success and European finishes in recent seasons, and this could be appealing to Cho dispute interest from Tottenham.
The youngster would likely play regular football at the King Power Stadium, and Leicester have shown over the years to be a great stepping-stone club where players can develop their craft before moving on for a bigger team. And this could help Leicester sign Cho over Tottenham.
