The Derby County midfielder is set for Turf Moor switch.
Derby’s Jeff Hendrick in action with Hull’s Abel Hernandez
It is being reported by Sky Sports this morning that Burnley have agreed a fee for Derby County midfielder Jeff Hendrick, and the player is now undergoing a medical at the club.
Central-midfield has been an area that Burnley boss Sean Dyche has wanted to improve throughout the transfer window, especially after losing Joey Barton to Rangers in the summer.
The club recently broke their record to bring in Belgian international Steven Defour but it appears they are set to bring in Hendrick as well.
It is not known whether a deal to sign Hendrick will surpass the fee paid for Defour.
Republic of Ireland’s Jeff Hendrick in action
The Republic of Ireland international has been a consistent performer in the Championship for some time now.
He also performed brilliantly for Ireland at the European Championships and Burnley look set to win the race for the player.
Hull City had also been heavily linked with a move for the player this summer.
Burnley have started the Premier League campaign well, beating Liverpool in their second game of the season. Hendrick will now hopefully add some more class to the middle of the park.
