Reo Griffiths has already left Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report.

Reo Griffiths of Tottenham Hotspur celebrates scoring a goal with his team mates early in the first half during the FA Youth Cup Sixth Round match between Newcastle United and Tottenham...

According to Football London, Reo Griffiths has already cancelled his contract with Tottenham Hotspur.

It was reported earlier this week that Lyon, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain were all in the hunt for the 18-year-old striker.

Griffiths scored 32 goals for Tottenham’s Under-18 side last season but the North Londoners were unable to tie him down to a new contract.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino left him out of the USA tour squad last week and Football London reckons that Griffiths has ‘already left’ the Lilywhites.

The report adds that Tottenham will receive a compensation fee regardless of what club he ends up at, having come through their academy.

This news, if true, will not please Tottenham fans in the slightest.

Some supporters have been very excited about the teenager’s potential since scoring four goals against Arsenal’s Under-18 side last season and they’ll be disappointed to see him leave.

Marcus Edwards might also wind up leaving Pochettino’s side this summer. Despite the Argentine comparing him to Lionel Messi last year, the 19-year-old does not seem to have kicked on and time will tell where he and Griffiths end up.
