According to The Mirror, former Tottenham Hotspur striker Reo Griffiths could make a return to England this summer.

It’s claimed that Lyon want to get Griffiths out on loan this summer, and he could end up heading to the Championship.

Preston North End and Sheffield Wednesday are keen, whilst Charlton Athletic also want him following their relegation to League One.

Lyon want Griffiths to get senior playing time, and two years after leaving Tottenham, a return to England looks to be on the cards.

Griffiths was touted as Tottenham’s next big thing, having smashed a stunning 41 goals and 12 assists in 44 appearances.

With his contract up in the summer of 2018, Griffiths snubbed a future with Spurs and headed to France, sparking uproar with Tottenham fans.

Spurs supporters were ‘fuming’ when the news was announced two years ago, but Griffiths has yet to really kick on.

He hasn’t made a single first-team appearance for Lyon, and the 20-year-old may have to drop to the Championship for playing time just years after Spurs thought he could be a star.
