Arsenal and Tottenham linked striker Serhou Guirassy could be sold on the cheap after Amiens were relegated from the French top flight, according to the Express.
Back in February, The Daily Mail claimed that a rangy French striker who has been on Arsenal’s radar since the Arsene Wenger days had an £18 million price-tag on his head.
Amiens, however, were a first division side back then.
But, after being dumped from Ligue 1 after 2019/20 season was decided on a points-per-game basis, The Unicorns might have no choice but to let their prized asset depart for a fraction of his market value.
So if Amiens were already furious with the French Football Federation, this is unlikely to improve the mood on the banks of the Somme.
Arsenal and Tottenham are interested. And considering that both North London giants will be forced to operate on a shoestring budget this summer, Guirassy’s reduced fee could perhaps earn him even more admirers in the English capital.
“I will have no problem with him (if he goes this summer). We already have English offers and things will be done,” Amiens president Bernard Joannin told Europe1, while admitting that an offer had already been made from another London-based outfit.

“He had had a firm offer from West Ham in January, but he asked to stay.”
Guirassy, Joannin adds, had no interest in turning his back on Amiens midway through the season when his side were still battling against relegation.
But, with their demotion now confirmed, there is surely nothing to stop the nine-goal talisman from packing his bags and heading across the Channel at last.
Interestingly, Guirassy scored the winner against Arsenal during a Europa League clash in the 2017/18 season.
