Released Queens Park Rangers midfielder Karl Henry is training with West Bromwich Albion, according to Sky Sports (09:41).

The 34-year-old left QPR at the end of last season and is said to be looking for a new club, with free agents still able to be signed despite the close of the transfer window.

However, with West Brom having already strengthened their midfield with the signings of Gareth Barry and Grzegorz Krychowiak this summer, it remains to be seen whether or not the Baggies are actually looking to take him on.

Henry previously played under West Brom boss Tony Pulis at first club Stoke City, before moving onto Albion’s fierce rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers – his hometown team.

He went on to captain Wolves in the Premier League, but left for QPR after seven years at Molineux.

Henry played 14 times for the R’s during last season’s Championship campaign, although his last game came against Wolves on January 12.
