Celtic are said to be taking an interest in the former Crystal Palace striker, who almost signed for Sheffield Wednesday in 2016.

Former Crystal Palace striker Reise Allassani is on Celtic’s radar, according to the Independent.
Allassani, who was once on the radar of England’s biggest clubs, is currently playing for Dulwich Hamlet in England’s seventh tier – 18 months after injury scuppered a move to Sheffield Wednesday.
The 22-year-old only returned to action late last year, and has hit 17 goals in 16 games to catch the eye of several club at the upper end of the English pyramid – with two formal bids made earlier this month, according to manager Gavin Rose [London News Online] – and seemingly beyond.
The Independent reports that Celtic are among them and admire ‘his burst of pace, bullish balance and eye for goal’.
Though Celtic are not in any urgent need of a new striker, their situation could soon change with Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths both being linked with moves away from Parkhead this month, while Odsonne Edouard’s loan spell expires this summer.

And while the capture of Allassani could be seen as a gamble, the player certainly has the momentum to hit the ground running in Scottish football.

According to the Independent, the former winger was once viewed as the natural successor to Victor Moses and Wilfried Zaha at Crystal Palace.
