Sunderland are reportedly interested in Reece James and Dylan McGeoch.

It has been reported that Sunderland, who will play in League One next season after getting relegated from the Championship, with sign James on a free transfer after the 24-year-old defender turned down a new contract offer from Wigan.

The report has claimed that the 24-year-old, who started his professional club football career at Manchester United before leaving for Wigan in 2015 and operates as a left-back, will undergo a medical on Monday.

The Daily Mail (Transfer Live blog, 11:00am, Monday, July 2, 2018) has also reported that Dylan McGeoch will have his medical at Sunderland today and will be free transfer, with the midfielder having left Hibernian at the end of last season.

Good signing for Sunderland?
James is a good defender who knows the lower leagues of English football well, and the 24-year-old left-back would be a good signing for Sunderland, especially as a free transfer.
The defender will be aiming to establish himself as a key member of Sunderland manager Jack Ross’s team next season.
