The left-winger could replace Ben Pringle at Rotherham United.

This month Leeds United revealed the names of those players who would be leaving the club on a free transfer in the summer.

One name that popped up was Aidan ‘Aidy’ White. The left-sided defender or midfielder has been granted a free transfer by the club, after spending the past 13 years with Leeds.

The Otley-born Republic of Ireland under-21 international has of course had a miserable time with injuries recently. He has had multiple operations on a foot problem and played against Rotherham United on the final day of the season in what proved to be his last game for the club.

It was also his first appearance for Leeds since the 3rd May 2014, almost exactly a year to the day.

White should have no trouble finding himself a new team. Now he is fully fit and ready to go plenty of decent outfits from the Football League will be dying to have him on board.

One such team is believed to be Yorkshire rivals Rotherham United. VitalFootball report that The Millers are keen on the player, and local rumours have certainly suggested just that in recent times.

Interestingly, his signature would likely to be to replace a former Rotherham player linked with Leeds United. Ben Pringle left the New York Stadium this summer to search for opportunities elsewhere. He has been linked with a move to Leeds by the Yorkshire Post in recent times.
