Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun is reportedly open to a move to Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
According to Football Transfers, representatives of Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun have spoken to Chelsea about a possible move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Representatives of the USA international striker “have touched base” with Chelsea, according to the report.
Balogun does not want to leave Arsenal on loan again this summer and is aware that he will not get ahead of Brazil international striker Gabriel Jesus in manager Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup.
The striker, described as “really ambitious, really committed and really brave” by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta on the club’s official website in February 2023, spent last season on loan at Reims from the Gunners.
The USA international scored 21 goals and gave two assists in 34 Ligue 1 starts for Reims during his loan spell.

Folarin Balogun should not leave Arsenal for Chelsea
In our opinion, Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun should not leave for Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old would face the same problems at Chelsea that he would at Arsenal.
If the American is looking for regular playing time, then Stamford Bridge is not the place where he is going to get it.
Yes, Chelsea need a number 9, but let us not forget that Romelu Lukaku is still on their books.
And even if Chelsea sell the Belgium international striker, they are likely to bring in a better, more developed and more experienced player than Balogun.
Someone like Dusan Vlahovic, for example.
