According to La Razon, Real Sociedad want to sign reported Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target Axel Disasi to potentially replace Liverpool target Diego Llorente.

Disasi has been heavily linked with a move from Reims this summer.

A report in the Daily Mail last month claimed Southampton were rivalling Arsenal and Tottenham for the £13 million defender following his impressive form in France.

But the Premier League trio could now face strong competition from Spain.

La Razon claims Sevilla and Valencia are keen, while Real Sociedad appear to be pushing the hardest as they line up a potential replacement for Llorente.

The Basque club fear their prized asset will leave this summer.

Llorente has a £45 million release clause. Liverpool are cited as strong suitors in the report, while Monaco are also interested after seeing a previous £20 million bid turned down.

Liverpool are seemingly on the lookout for another option to partner Virgil van Dijk.

Joel Matip and Joe Gomez are top players. However, the duo have struggled with injuries this season while Dejan Lovren’s time at Anfield is surely coming to an end.

Llorente, 26, would be a fine option for the Reds with his best years still ahead of him.

And, Real Sociedad’s reported interest in Disasi suggests they could be planning for a future without the Spain international and former Real Madrid man.

Arsenal and Spurs both must strengthen their defence this summer.

The Gunners have shipped five league goals since the return to action. Spurs boss Jose Mourinho, meanwhile, must look at a long-term replacement for Jan Vertonghen.
