Real Sociedad are planning to offer striker Willian Jose a new deal in order to ward off interest from Everton and Wolves, Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo report.

Both teams are showing interest in the forward, with Brazilian media outlet UOL Esporte claiming Wolves are plotting a £30 million move.

The attacker has a £52.6 million (60m Euros) release clause in his contract after extending his deal last summer until 2022.

Mundo Deportivo report that Sociedad fear he could still leave and want to offer an even better deal.

They also only own 70 per cent of the forward’s rights, and want to acquire the 30% from Uruguayan side Deportivo Maldonado.

This would suggest that Sociedad eventually want to cash in, so they can get maximum value from his sale, however there is likely therefore to be no short term solution for Wolves or Everton.

They would have to wait until Sociedad buy out his deal in order to complete a transfer themselves.

The 26-year-old scored 20 goals in 37 games for Sociedad last season.
