According to AS, Real Madrid are interested in signing Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

The Spanish publication, though, has claimed that Spanish and European giants Madrid are not willing to pay more than €70 million (£61.87m) as transfer fee for the Denmark international attacking midfielder.

Quality footballer

Eriksen is one of the best and most creative midfielders in Europe, and there is no surprise that Madrid are reportedly interested in him.

The Denmark international has been on top of his game for a number of years now, and at 27, he is at the right age to make a move to Madrid.

Of course, Tottenham are not a selling club, and given their success in the Premier League in recent years and in the Champions League this season, the North London outfit are not going to make it easy for Madrid to prise away one of their best players.

One suspects that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will want much more than the €70m (£61.87m) Madrid are reportedly willing to pay for Eriksen.
