The Tottenham Hotspur star is a summer transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.

According to a report from the Independent, Real Madrid are now prioritising a move for Tottenham ace Christian Eriksen over Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, because they believe it will be an easier deal to complete.

The Denmark international joined Spurs form Ajax in the summer of 2013, for a fee believed to be worth £11.5 million according to BBC Sport, and he has gone on to be a real success in north London, racking up a hugely impressive 66 goals and 86 assists in 277 appearances in all competitions.

Eriksen’s contract with Tottenham expires in the summer of 2020, however, and it would be no surprise to see Daniel Levy cash in on him during the off-season, rather than risk losing him for nothing next year.

And the Independent claims that Real Madrid will make their move for the 27-year-old this summer, as they believe it will be an easier deal to complete than it would be to sign Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.

Spurs will not sell Eriksen on the cheap, however.

According to the Mirror, Levy is demanding £130 million for the midfield playmaker, and if he manages to get anywhere near that, it would have to be considered as exceptional business for Tottenham.
