Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to offer Gareth Bale as part of a deal that would see Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah move to the Bernabeu in the summer.

According to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, Real Madrid are prepared to offer Liverpool Gareth Bale as a makeweight as part of a potential deal to bring Mohamed Salah to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.

Salah has been quite sensational for the Reds, since making his £34 million switch to Anfield from Roma in the summer of 2017, chalking up 31 goals and 11 assists in 37 appearances in all competitions thus far.

There will reportedly be a huge shake-up at Madrid in the summer, with the La Liga title already seemingly out of their reach, and many of their star names entering the twilight of their careers.

Don Balon claim that the Spanish giant’s president Florentino Perez has identified Liverpool’s Egyptian star as one of his key transfer targets this summer, and is prepared to send Bale in the opposite direction in order to make a deal happen.

The Merseyside outfit will surely resist any approach from Los Blancos for their star man, although the opportunity to bring Bale to the club might just soften their stance.

Following Neymar’s £198 million switch from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017, the transfer market has become distorted, and it could be argued that Salah is worth somewhere in the region of what the Brazilian went for.

So if Madrid really do want the 25-year-old, they will surely have to offer quite a considerable amount of cash, as well as sending Bale to Merseyside.
