According to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid attacker Mariano Diaz fancies a move to West Ham United this month – because he wants to play in London.
It’s claimed that West Bromwich Albion were looking to sign Diaz over the summer, but he wants a move to the English capital instead.
Diaz is thought to be open to a loan move to West Ham, seemingly feeling that he can play first-team football in East London.
West Ham have an opening up top having allowed Sebastien Haller to join Ajax for £22million, with a new striker surely wanted now.
Michail Antonio has endured injury issues this season, and there is little other depth to speak of, meaning David Moyes must find another option.
Despite bringing in that cash for Haller, West Ham may instead go for a loan deal, with Diaz thought to be a prime candidate.

The 27-year-old has played just seven times this season for a total of 275 minutes, scoring only one goal as his second spell with the club turns into a disaster.
Diaz needs to leave Real again for first-team action, and he showed his quality in the 2017-18 season at Lyon, hitting 21 goals and six assists in 48 games.
West Ham may hope to get that kind of form out of Diaz again, though fans may have concerns at the lack of a permanent signing having offloaded Haller.
