It has been reported that Real Madrid have their sights set on a transfer for Liverpool defender Andy Robertson.
This revelation emerged on the Daily Mail about the £10 million (BBC Sport) man, who has been a mainstay in Jurgen Klopp’s since joining the club in 2017.
However, it seems like Real Madrid have taken a shine to Andy Robertson and aim to prise him away from Liverpool in a summer transfer.
Real Madrid interested in Andy Robertson transfer from Liverpool
The Scottish left-back has been far from his best this season, often caught up the pitch, as he has been uncharacteristically suspect at the back while going forward as well, he has not looked the part.
Over his six year-spell at Anfield, however, Robertson has largely been one of, if not the standalone best player in his position in the world.
Real Madrid are clearly aware of the gem Liverpool have had on their hands in Andy Robertson, as they consider him as a transfer priority to supersede Ferland Mendy in the side.

Additionally, Los Blancos believe that the prospect of continuing to play in the Champions League should entice the former Hull City defender.
However, Liverpool would only sanction a transfer for Liverpool for Andy Robertson if a fee well in excess of £40 million is stumped up.
Alongside Alphonso Davies, the Premier League winner seems to be Los Merengues’ dream coup at left-back.
Andy Robertson must surely be tempted
Even though Andy Robertson has always seemed to have bought into Liverpool as a club, the prospect of a transfer to Real Madrid must surely make him second-guess his commitment to his current club.
The Spanish giants are arguably the biggest club in the world and are expected to compete in the Champions League and La Liga next season.
The same cannot be said for Jurgen Klopp and Co. who need a huge rebuild to return to their former glory.
Considering Robertson would virtually be guaranteed a starting place, he may consider the reported interest worth bearing in mind.
