Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing the Tottenham Hotspur ace.

According to a report from Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, Real Madrid are lining up a move for Tottenham ace Christian Eriksen, if they eventually end up selling Luka Modric to Inter Milan.
The Croatian superstar has been drawing attention from the Serie A side over the past few weeks, but Madrid will be desperate to keep arguably their best and most important player.
Should Los Blancos eventually choose to sell the 32-year-old, however, they will need to bring in an able-bodied replacement, and Eriksen would be just the ticket.
Italian publication Calcio Mercato claims that the Denmark international is a key target for the Spanish giants, with club president Florentino Perez viewing him as the ideal long-term successor to Modric.

Tottenham will obviously not want to lose the talented play-maker, but the problem for the north London outfit is that when Madrid want someone, they usually get their man.
Much will depend on how much the La Liga side are prepared to pay for Eriksen, but if Tottenham are to make genuine progress over the next few years, keeping hold of the 26-year-old will be of paramount importance to them.
