According to The Telegraph, Real Madrid are now leading the race to sign Liverpool and Manchester City target Aurelien Tchouameni.
What’s the story?
Well, this is bad news for Liverpool and Manchester City.
The Telegraph believe Real Madrid have already made the first moves to sign the Monaco wonderkid, who is valued at £67m.
Pep Guardiola is eyeing a long-term successor to Fernandinho, and has identified the 22-year-old as a candidate for the role.
Elsewhere, it was RMC Sport who revealed that Liverpool are hoping to bring Tchouameni to Anfield.
However, Real Madrid front the queue, as they aim to future-proof their midfield even further following the signing of Eduardo Camavinga.
The Telegraph state that Erling Haaland is Manchester City’s priority, and they are unlikely to match Real Madrid in the race for Tchouameni as well.
So far this season, the France international has made 43 appearances in all competitions for Monaco, where he has two years remaining on his contract.
Liverpool and Manchester City must challenge Real Madrid

In our view, Jürgen Klopp and Guardiola cannot allow Tchouameni to get away easily, as he has potential to become the best in his position.
The Rouen-born midfield maestro is a phenomenal player, who is already a vital cog for club and country.
Despite his age, Tchouameni has already racked up 125 senior appearances, so the experience he has under his belt is vast, to say the least.

In our view, the prodigy will never be as cheap as he is now at £67m, so for Liverpool and Manchester City, it could be a case of now or never.
Keep an eye on this saga, as it’s not over yet.
