Arsenal fancy signing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Andre Silva, according to a report from Calciomercato last month.
It was suggested that the Gunners are eyeing up Silva as a potential replacement for Alexandre Lacazette this summer, as they face a big decision on the Frenchman.
Lacazette has just one year left on his contract, and if the Gunners don’t decide to offer him a new contract, it would make sense to sell now rather than see him walk for nothing in 2022.
Silva has been simply ridiculous this season. He’s smashed 25 goals in 29 league games, picking up four assists too – meaning he’s averaging a goal involvement every game.
The 25-year-old has had some false starts in his career, failing to thrive with AC Milan and Sevilla having emerged with Porto, but he’s back on track now.
Arsenal may look to land the Portuguese international to spearhead their attack, but there’s a problem; he might be off to Real Madrid instead.

Bild report that Silva wants to join a top club this summer, and wants to go to Spain – where Real see him as a long-term heir to Karim Benzema, and they have expressed an interest.
Real are considering a deal that would see them buy Silva for €40million (£35million) whilst selling Luka Jovic to Frankfurt for €20million (£17.5million), with Jovic seemingly viewed as their secret weapon in the race for Silva.
It’s hard to see Arsenal being able to compete with Real this summer, but they may have to hope that the promise of first-team football can help them battle with the Spanish giants.
