Real Madrid have reportedly joined the race to sign Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry, who is being chased by Liverpool and Tottenham ahead of the summer.
According to Sport1, Los Blancos are keeping tabs on Gnabry’s contract situation with the Bundesliga giants. As per the report, the 26-year-old is eager to remain in Bavaria, yet discussions over a new deal are stalling on multiple fronts.
Gnabry’s contract is set to expire in 2023, and with the forward earning a reported £115,000-a-week, multiple clubs around Europe could offer the attack a better package should the attacker decide to leave Bayern.
Bild reported last week that Tottenham are surprise candidates to sign Gnabry, who left Arsenal in 2016 after being sold by Arsene Wenger, a decision which has proven to be a wrong one for the Gunners given the attacker’s incredible development in Germany.
As well as Tottenham and Madrid, Liverpool are also said to be interested in Gnabry according to Sky Germany. And given the forward’s developing contract situation, more clubs could enter the race for the German international.
Indeed, Madrid could be an enticing move for Gnabry given the money Carlo Ancelotti’s side can offer as well as the prospect of playing for one of the few clubs that have a higher reputation globally than Bayern, with the likes of Toni Kroos making the move to the Spanish side from the Bundesliga giants in recent years.
Madrid could be too lucrative for Gnabry for Liverpool & Tottenham

With Gnabry once admitting Arsenal would be the favourites to sign him if he was to return to the Premier League as per CBS Sport, Liverpool and Tottenham could struggle to land the German international much to the delight of Madrid.
The winger could become Los Blancos’ next superstar signing, and with Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard likely to leave in the summer, Gnabry could be viewed by Madrid as a player who can replace two out-of-favour players this off-season.
