Real Madrid are allegedly keen to sign Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen.
According to a report from the Independent, Real Madrid are prepared to offer James Rodriguez to Tottenham as part of a potential deal that would bring Christian Eriksen to the Bernabeu.
The Denmark international’s contract with Spurs expires in the summer of 2020, and unless he signs a new deal within the next six months, he might very well be sold.
The Independent claims that Eriksen is expected to join Real Madrid in the summer, and they suggest that the Los Blancos hierarchy are prepared to offer Colombian superstar James Rodriguez to the north London outfit in an attempt to sweeten the deal.

The Dane is a vitally important player for Spurs, but he could walk away on a free transfer in 18 months time, and that will be a real concern for Daniel Levy and co.
If Eriksen does leave the club, Mauricio Pochettino would obviously have to bring in an able-bodied replacement, and in this day and age, that wouldn’t come cheap.
So the opportunity of bringing James Rodriguez to the club is surely one that Spurs cannot afford to miss out on.
Much will obviously depend on what Eriksen chooses to do, but if he does decide to leave, Rodriguez possesses more than enough talent to make Tottenham fans quickly forget about the Dane.
