Report: Real Betis want West Ham United’s Lucas Perez

Lucas Perez joined West Ham United from Arsenal in the summer of 2018.

Real Betis are interested in signing Lucas Perez from West Ham United in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.

It has also been reported that West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini will allow the former Arsenal forward to leave this month, as he wants to bring in another attacking player.

Disappointing spell

Perez joined West Ham from Premier League rivals Arsenal in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported for The Independent to be worth £4 million.

The 30-year-old forward struggled to make an impact at the Gunners, and the Spaniard has failed to do much of note at the London Stadium so far this season.

The former Deportivo La Coruna forward has made three starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League for West Ham so far this season, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.

It will make sense for West Ham to cash in on Perez and get whatever transfer fee they can get for him, as the Hammers are not going to miss the 30-year-old forward.
