Is Vincent Janssen’s Premier League nightmare over with the Spurs striker reportedly a target for La Liga outfit Real Betis?

Real Betis have made initial contact about a potential deal to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen, according to Estadio Deportivo.
The La Liga outfit had hoped to sign the out-of-favour Dutchman during the January transfer window and, according to The Sun, they had agreed a deal to sign Janssen on loan with an option to buy.
The move fell through however as Spurs chairman Daniel Levy decided to increase the loan fee by £1 million at the eleventh hour, forcing Betis to walk away.
The Seville-based outfit will surely understand what Sir Alex Ferguson meant when he said that working with Levy was more painful than his hip replacement.
But, according to Estadio Deportivo, Real Betis have taken a deep breath and renewed their interest in Janssen with the summer transfer window looming large.

The report adds that they have even made first contact but they are aware that Janssen would be something of a risk given that he has spent the entire 2017/18 season out of Spurs’ first-team plans, making just two appearances under Mauricio Pochettino.
Tottenham signed Janssen from AZ Alkmaar three years ago for £18.6 million (Sky) and this summer may be their last chance to recoup at least some of that fee, given that his contract expires next summer.
