Real Betis are seemingly back in for Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen.
According to Calciomercato, Real Betis are once again interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen this summer.
Janssen, 24, was supposed to be a key signing for Spurs in 2016, as he was lured away from AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands in order to provide competition for Harry Kane.
After smashing 31 goals in 49 games for AZ, Janssen looked to be a real talent for the future, but he has sadly falling into the same category as Afonso Alves, Mateja Kezman and Memphis Depay in flopping in the Premier League after starring in the Eredivisie.
The Dutchman spent last season on loan at Fenerbahce, scoring five goals in 18 games, but that hasn’t changed Mauricio Pochettino’s mind, meaning Janssen is unlikely to play for Spurs again.
His Tottenham record would end at six goals in 39 games, but it seems that there is renewed interest, as Calciomercato report that Real Betis are interested in Janssen once again.
Spurs were in talks with Betis about a loan deal for Janssen in January according to Sky Sports, but no deal could be struck, meaning Janssen is seeing out the rest of the season in the Tottenham wilderness.
Spurs won’t put up too much of a fight this summer though, and Betis may feel that it can be a case of second time lucky in their pursuit of the striker.
