Tottenham Hotspur may have real hope of signing Dani Olmo as RB Leipzig hatch plans to deal with his contract situation.
Spurs appear to have an interest in signing Olmo at the end of the season.
Reports from Sport BILD (print edition, April 12, 2023, page 20) last week suggested that Tottenham have made contact to try and sign Olmo.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg has now opened up on Leipzig’s plans about Olmo and his future.
Plettenberg notes that Leipzig chief Max Eberl wants to go ‘all-in’ to try and convince Olmo to stay.
The Spain international is out of contract in 2024 and Leipzig are improving their offer – which would include a €70million (£62million) release clause.
If Olmo doesn’t agree to those terms, Leipzig will sell – and their asking price would be just €30million (£26million).
That’s a bargain price and surely one Tottenham could afford with Leipzig scared of losing Olmo for nothing next year.

Luis Enrique would surely love Dani Olmo deal
Tottenham’s interest in Olmo is intriguing given that Spurs are also keen on Luis Enrique.
The Telegraph claimed this week that Tottenham want talks with Enrique soon as they consider a new manager.
Enrique is available after leaving his post as Spain boss following the World Cup in Qatar.
One of the members of Enrique’s Spain squad was – you guessed it – Dani Olmo.
The Leipzig ace has been a key man for Enrique over the years, picking up 28 of his 30 Spain caps under Enrique.
Olmo has bagged four goals and seven assists under Enrique, playing as a number 10, left winger, right winger and even false nine.
Enrique would certainly want to be backed with a number of signings should be take the Spurs job.
Olmo would certainly fit the bill in terms of adding a creative midfield player to the Tottenham ranks and we could see the Spanish duo reunite in North London.
