Rangers are reportedly pursuing a bargain deal for Greg Stewart.

According to the Daily Record, Rangers are looking to bring in forward Greg Stewart – currently on loan at Aberdeen – on a free transfer this summer.
The Gers already have Jordan Jones coming to Ibrox on a pre-contract agreement at the end of the season, but Steven Gerrard may have more early signings up his sleeve.
Creativity has certainly been a problem this season, and finding players who can supply more chances in the final third is a must if Rangers are to challenge Celtic next term.
It now seems that Gerrard and Mark Allen have identified a target for that area, with the Daily Record suggesting that Rangers are targeting a deal for Stewart.
The 29-year-old is out of contract at Birmingham City this summer, meaning Rangers can sign him for free – and current loan club Aberdeen won’t be able to stop them.
Stewart enjoyed a stunning first half of the season, scoring eight in 16 games for Kilmarnock before surprisingly ending his time at Rugby Park and heading back to Aberdeen, where he struggled last term.

Those struggles have continued at Pittodrie, as he has scored just one goal in 14 games for the Dons, and yet Rangers are seemingly hoping to bring him back to Ibrox, as Stewart – boyhood Gers fan – started out his career with the club.
Gerrard is understood to be a fan of Stewart, meaning a dream return to the club could be on the cards, with Stewart offering versatility and creativity to Rangers, even if his arrival may not be hugely exciting.
