Glasgow Rangers are reportedly keen on bringing a big-name striker to Ibrox this summer.

According to The Daily Mail, Rangers will be in the market for a “marquee striker” this summer.
Rangers hired Steven Gerrard as manager on a four-year deal this past Friday and the Liverpool icon will work alongside Director of Football Mark Allen to identify transfer targets for the months ahead.
There is plenty of work to do at Ibrox on the recruitment front, with Celtic potentially winning back-to-back domestic trebles this season, but it seems as though the 37-year-old might already have a blueprint in mind.
The Daily Mail claims that a big-name hitman is the “priority” for the Gers this summer, as well as two “dominant centre-halves”.

Who leaves?
If the report about the striker is true then it may indicate that either Alfredo Morelos – linked with a move away from Ibrox in January – will leave, or on-loan Nottingham Forest striker Jason Cummings might not join on a permanent basis this summer.
The Hoops had three strikers this season, so it isn’t unthinkable that Cummings and the marquee forward may join, as well as Morelos staying. It’s also worth noting that Gerrard hasn’t picked a first XI yet, so he might well favour a system that includes two leading men, but time will tell.
