According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers want to bring striker Rhian Brewster to Ibrox this summer once his Swansea City deal ends.
It’s claimed that Swansea want Brewster back next season. They took the hitman on loan for the second half of the season, and saw him score four times in 11 games.
He is unlikely to be near the Liverpool side next season, and that’s where former Reds hero Steven Gerrard may be able to step in.
The Gers would be willing to offer a season-long loan deal for Brewster, which would give him the chance to reunite with two of his former coaches.
Brewster worked with Gerrard in the Liverpool under-18 setup, whilst Gers coach Michael Beale oversaw Brewster’s development at Chelsea too.
Reuniting with not one, but two of his former mentors may be hugely appealing to Brewster, and he doesn’t have to look very far for inspiraton.

Ovie Ejaria, Ryan Kent and Sheyi Ojo have all spent time on loan at Rangers from Liverpool, with Kent later making his move permanent. Fellow ex-Reds Andy Firth and Jon Flanagan have joined Rangers under Gerrard.
With question marks over Alfredo Morelos and Florian Kamberi unlikely to stay, Rangers may need to find a striker without breaking the bank – and a loan deal for Brewster would therefore make sense.
Liverpool would then have to decide whether to leave Brewster at Swansea for continuity, or trust Gerrard once again by sending him to Glasgow.
