According to The Express, Rangers are interested in signing Partick Thistle centre back Liam Lindsay this summer, as they look for defensive reinforcements.
Whilst manager Pedro Caixinha will hope to strengthen a number of areas of his Gers side after finishing third in the Scottish Premiership, and defence is certainly an area of concern.

Centre backs Clint Hill and Philippe Senderos will both leave the club this summer when their contracts expire, whilst Rob Kiernan is expected to leave, with Danny Wilson’s injury leaving youngster David Bates as the only recognised centre back.
The Express now report that whilst Caixinha wants to bring fellow Portuguese Bruno Alves to Ibrox, he’s also looking closer to home for another centre back, with Partick Thistle’s Liam Lindsay a key target.
Rangers’ Philippe Senderos looks dejected
Lindsay, 21, has come up through the ranks with Partick Thistle, and has now racked up more than 70 first-team appearances for the club, and he has registered an impressive seven goals from centre back this term.
A 6ft 3in centre back, Lindsay has starred for Partick, and it’s now believed that Rangers are keen to add him to their defensive options this summer.

However, recent reports from the Daily Record suggested that Partick want a fee of around £750,000 for Lindsay, and with English clubs interested, Rangers will have to move quickly to land their man.
If the Gers want to land a Scottish defender, then there are few better options out there than Lindsay, and at just 21, he could be the long-term centre back the club are looking for – if Caixinha is given the funds to complete the deal.
