Rangers are reportedly looking to bring James Lawrence to Ibrox.

According to the Daily Record, Rangers are interested in signing Anderlecht defender James Lawrence in a deal worth around £3million this summer.
Lawrence, 26 has impressed for Anderlecht since arriving last summer, and has now picked up five caps for Wales having only found out he qualified for them last year.
The defender is now being linked with a move away from Anderlecht, and it’s believed that Rangers are interested a £3million swoop, but face competition from Stoke City and Swansea City.
It’s claimed that Steven Gerrard is a big fan of Lawrence, despite what would be described as a nomadic and somewhat strange career so far.
Lawrence has been on the books of Arsenal, QPR, Haarlem, Ajax, Sparta Rotterdam, RKC Waalwijk, Trencin and now Anderlecht, with the England-born centre back heading to Europe for success.
A left-footed centre back, Lawrence can also play at left back and in holding midfield, possessing great physicality and even a strong passing range.

Lawrence has been with big clubs before in Arsenal, Ajax and now Anderlecht, so Gerrard may well feel that the has the personality to come in and play a key role for Rangers.
Lawrence would come in as competition for Nikola Katic and Connor Goldson, adding more international experience to the Rangers side – if they can secure that £3milion move with Vincent Kompany’s side.
