Rangers are interested in signing Feyenoord speedster Crysencio Summerville after Wolverhampton Wanderers had a bid rejected for the Eredivisie starlet, according to Voetbal International.

The Ibrox giants will need a favour from one of their modern-day legends if they are to snap up this Netherlands U19 international.

Dick Advocaat, a two-time Scottish Premiership winner with Rangers, is still going strong at the age of 72, leading Feyenoord to a third-place finish after a disastrous start to the 2019/20 campaign under Jaap Stam.

With the ‘Little General’ determined to guide his troops to a place in the top two next season, it seems unlikely that one of the most exciting teenagers in Dutch football will be allowed to leave – on loan or otherwise.

Despite interest from Advocaat’s old employers, Voetbal International reports that Summerville will not be going anywhere this summer, even if his contract has just 12 months left to run.

The 18-year-old captivated Eredivisie fans everywhere with his electrifying displays on loan at ADO Den Hag recently and, with his searing pace and jinking stride, he looks every inch the kind of rapid winger who Steven Gerrard has shown a fondness for since taking charge in Glasgow.

But, according to VI, Rangers are barking up the wrong tree here.

Feyenoord have even rejected a multi-million offer from a Wolves side who, earlier this year, snapped up Nigel Lonwijk from PSV and Justin Hubner from Den Bosch.

This is one fresh-faced Dutchman Wolves will not be getting their mitts on.
